Beloved, we ARE God's
children now;
what we SHALL be
has not yet been REVEALED.
We do KNOW that
when it is revealed
we shall be LIKE him,
for we shall SEE him as he is.

FOOD DROP OFF FOR ST. MARK'S PARISH

Please mark your calendars for the next St. Mark food collection that will be held on Sunday, November  8th.     Items may be dropped off at the OLW garage between 8 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. St. Mark's greatest need continues to be in the form of non-perishable food items along with baby formula, food and diapers. They have been unable to keep their food pantry stocked as the need is so great right now, your generosity would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks go out to Suzanne Boudreau and Carl Nowak for working the garage and accepting donations last month. Thank you to the volunteers who delivered the donations down to St. Mark. Thank you for all of your time and efforts!

Please contact John Toomey if interested in volunteering to accept donations and if you are available to deliver donations please call Bill Cleary. The St. Mark's Committee would really appreciate  anyone who would be willing to step up and help with the delivery of donations.

The St. Mark Committee would like to extend a sincere and heartfelt thank you to you, the parishioners of Our Lady of the Wayside, for your continued support. The families of St. Mark's are truly grateful.

Sincerely, The St. Mark's Committee of
the Care & Outreach Commission

WIDOWS OF WAYSIDE

Ladies, please join us in the Gathering Place on Sunday, November 1, 2009, at 1:00 p.m. for our regular monthly meeting. Mrs. Beth Lawrence, a parishioner and catechist of our parish, will be our guest speaker. Refreshments will be served.

 ending search for the Holy.

CYO BASKETBALL
Still forming teams. Most likely practices/Open Gyms will be taking place on Monday and Wednesday of this week. Thursday is still up in the air at this moment. Teams need to settled in the next week or so, so if interested please contact Kevin or one the coaches as soon as possible. Registration, medical waiver, and fee officially puts you on the roster. Forms will be online.

TEEN MINISTERS
Just wanted to take a moment to thank all of you teens who assist with the Mass. As Lectors, Eucharistic Ministers, Greeters/Ushers, and Music Ministers, you make such a difference. You lead through your service. Your service allows many to worship the lord in such a beautiful way. Thank you for your time and dedication, and for the inspiration you bring through your witness to all the parish community. (Also, major thanks to Donna Cunningham, Dan McMahon, an Kathy O'Neill for all you do, especially with the Teen Ministered Mass.)

PEER MINISTRY
Last weekend was truly a celebration. The Commissioning at the 11:30 a.m. Mass was a fantastic way to celebrate World Youth Sunday. Thanks to everyone who hosted the Coffee & Donuts--a special shout out to Kathy O'Neill for coordinating.

Huge props for our first ever Peer Ministry Social. The bobbing for apples was insane and the gourd contest hysterical. Katie O'Neill and Jessica Fino, simply put, you are incredible. Way to lead with style. See you all next week for Peer Ministry on Sun, Nov. 8th.

CORE
What a better way to celebrate a day off than to spend it with CORE. That's right CORE meets this Monday, November 2nd from 1-3 p.m. in the Youth Room. The main area of business is the November Outreach. Looking forward to continuing with the success from last month's Outreach.

KAIROS
Chances are this Kairos (K9), which takes place over President's Weekend, Feb. 12th-15th, will be a hot commodity. We already have registrations, so please sign-up as soon as you can. Kairos is a retreat (yet so much more)

ST. COLETTE PRESENTS

Joan Wester Anderson
Author of
New York Time Bestseller
"Where Angels Walk"

Today, people crave and believe in miracles more than ever before. Joan Wester Anderson inspires and fascinates readers with stories of mysterious rescues, celestial visions, unexpected healings, inexplicable protection, and many other signs and wonders.

Mysterious forces save a mountain climber lost in a blizzard. An illiterate carpenter finds himself able to read. A band of angels frees a little girl from her violent father. An eloquent preacher, his vocal chords rendered useless by scar tissues, suddenly - in the presence of a large congregation - regains his voice. Such wonderful, true stories of God's presence in our lives light up Joan Wester Anderson's accounts, bringing comfort to all who hear them.
