And/Or Contribute to a Religious Education Scholarship Fund for Families in
the Religious Education Program

The Religious Education Program has families in need of financial assistance to help pay their tuition and fees. Some could only afford a portion of their total amount. Some families have temporary needs, while other families, due to circumstance, have an on-going need of monetary assistance. Sacrament fees are included in some of the amounts listed below. Religious Education Program amounts are as follows:

Tuition per Student $210.00
First Eucharist $75.00
First Reconciliation $50.00
Confirmation $115.00

If you are able to assist in some small way with the religious education of the children in our parish, please send all donations to Sister Joan or Sister Adrienne.

Below are the amounts needed for individual families at the present time.

SERVICE: MOBILE FOOD PANTRY
Time to reach out a little. The plan is that on next Saturday morning, December 5th Youth Ministry is organizing an outing to help the Our Lady of the Angels Mission's Mobile Food Pantry. This truly is not only a beautiful service, but one that leaves a lasting impression for those who step up to the challenge. And it's pretty simple: assist the residents of the neighborhood collect food and (possibly) clothing from tables set-up in the parking lot. Simple yet profound. Once again, we are still working on the details. If interested, contact Kevin in the YM Office. Adults will be need to drive. We'd love to include both high school and jr. high age teens. (More info on the Mission appears below.)

ALL TEEN OUTREACH: THE FEAST!
All high school age teens are welcome to this weekend's Outreach entitled "The Feast". In addition to games, icebreakers, and small groups, we will focus on coming to understand the Eucharist from a teen's perspective. And to top it all off, there will be White Castle Sliders for everyone. The Outreach runs from 7-9 pm tonight (Sun), Nov. 29th in the Youth Room located in the Parish Center. All teens are invited.

PEER MINISTRY
December dates are as follows: Peer Ministry on December 6th, PM Christmas Celebration on December 13th, CORE on December 20th.

Reminder: Tonight (Sun), we have our monthly Outreach, The Feast! Please invite any other high school teens you want. Open to all.

CYO BASKETBALL
Rosters are set. Registrations are in. Should get the schedule this week since the first game is (most likely) over next weekend. Coaches will be in contact. Juniors practice from 9-10:30 p.m. on Mondays, sophomores; same time yet on Wednesdays. Good luck in the season openers.

KAIROS
Chances are this Kairos (K9), which takes place over President's Weekend, Feb. 12th-15th, will be a hot commodity. We already have registrations, so please sign-up as soon as you can. Kairos is a retreat (yet so much more) open to high school age juniors and seniors. Simply put, it's a time to get away from the craziness of life and focus on your relationship with yourself, God, and others. For some it is life changing, for all it is certainly life impacting. Registration brochure and permission form is online. Talk to an alumni to get a teen perspective.

LOOKING AHEAD
In response to an ever growing need, the teens of Youth Ministry are sponsoring a hat, gloves, and scarf clothing drive the weekend of December 12th/13th.

This winter more people will have fewer resources, not only in terms of warm clothing but money for heat. Once collected, these items will be delivered to Our Lady of the of the Angels to support the underserved of Humboldt Park, many of which include members of our sister parish St. Mark.

St Mary of the Angels direct a mobile food pantry the first Sunday of every month. This is directed by Fr. Bob Lombardo, as Franciscan friar and Notre Dame graduate who will also be our Mission Director this Spring. Collection will take place before/after all the weekend Masses. Thank you, in advance, for your generosity.

CHRISTMAS MASS TIMES

The parishes of the Archdiocese of Chicago received notification from Cardinal George that the earliest acceptable time for Masses on Christmas Eve 2009 would be 3:00 p.m.

While the Cardinal did acknowledge that the decision to have an earlier Mass was understandable, he believes that the early Mass did not preserve the integrity of the Feast of Christmas. In obedience to the Cardinal, and in solidarity with the pastors of Arlington Heights, the early Christmas Eve Mass has been eliminated.
