Bible Study

General Bible Studies at the Parish Center

Each week, parishioners gather at the parish to reflect on the Scripture readings for the coming Sunday and to explore their implications for daily life. The Sunday Lectionary is designed to present a substantial amount of the entire Bible over a three-year period, so this approach to Bible study is both a chance to become acquainted with the whole Bible "from the heart of the church," and an opportunity to share insights within the rhythm of the liturgical year. It isn't necessary to register and there is no charge. Because the readings are read in context, participants typically bring along bibles rather than missals.

Meetings are scheduled:

  • Friday morning, 9:30-11:30 a.m. (women), Gathering Place
Friday Bible study does not meet on Good Friday or the Friday after Thanksgiving. If the parish school is closed because of heavy snow, the Friday morning meeting is cancelled.

One of the leaders is happy to share the following reference materials with the parish:

Home Bible Studies

There are also a number of self-directed Bible studies in the parish that meet in members' homes. Because they are not held on the parish campus, specific details on dates, times and locations are typically not available.
