Capital Campaign Happenings
April 28 Town Hall Meeting

A comprehensive and thorough explanation of every single proposed project to be addressed by Our Lady of the Wayside’s 2008 capital campaign was presented Monday night, April 27, at the first-ever Town Hall Meeting in the Father Mackin Center.

Following a welcome by Father Ed Fialkowski, members of the OLW Management Council and the “Preserving Our Foundation / Securing Our Future” Campaign Leadership Team described in detail the needs facing the parish in 2008 and how and when they will be addressed during the three-year time-line of the campaign.

Most of the detail was described in a “Powerpoint” slide show presented by Bill Cleary of the Campaign Leadership Team and Sue Szymczak and Tod Faerber of the Management Council.

Following the Powerpoint presentation, a five-member panel of Management Council and Campaign Leadership team members answered a series of questions.

The panelists included Glen Stewart and Terry DaPisa of the Campaign Leadership Team, and Mark Iammarino and John Franczyk of the Management Council. OLW Business Manager Ken Adamick also participated.

Questions addressed included those posted on the power point presentation, as well as questions submitted via the campaign website or submitted in writing a the recent Open House or at one of the frequent presentations by Campaign Leadership Team members at meetings of numerous parish organizations.

Questions also were allowed from the floor.

“We have worked very hard to give members of Wayside parish every opportunity to ask about this project and we are trying to answer every question in great detail,” said Glen Stewart, a co-chair of the Campaign Leadership Team.
