What is CFM? Could it be for you? The Christian Family Movement (CFM) is an all parish organization committed to promoting the Christian way of life:

• in the family
• in the community
• in the workplace

Through the dynamics of small group discussions held in members' homes, CFM members come together to learn, grow and support each other in becoming and living as the people of God in everyday life. Meetings are typically on the first or second Friday's of September through May, at 8 p.m. They begin with a brief reflection on a passage from Scripture, which leads into the topic of the evening. For example:

• Parents may be challenged to observe and judge how Jesus is working in the ordinary happenings in their families. Then they are called to action.
• We may be offered a look at social issues such as the homeless, the unborn, peace and justice in the Third World and how we as Christians must act.

Additionally, at monthly social events, CFM members gather to meet with others, building and strengthening the sense of community, which will support and affirm us as we carry out our call as Christians.

One essential ingredient in the lives of Christians is to serve others, as Jesus did. CFM engages in various service projects, both inside and outside our parish, such as a monthly hosting of Gathering Space Coffees, regular involvement in PADS and periodic actions to aid needy members of our community and/or support relief efforts to victims of war and natural disasters.
